An experienced Customer Service officers are sought to support the City of Monash Maternal Child health and Immunisation Service.

The Monash Maternal Child Health and Immunisation service (MCH) is situated within the Children Youth and Family Services department. This department has a strong focus on supporting infants, children and families offering innovative service delivery models to meet the needs of a contemporary community. Our customer service officers provide exemplary customer service both over the phone and in person, contributing to the effective delivery of essential services to our vibrant community.

About You:

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Provide exemplary customer service both over the phone and in person being able to work within a culturally diverse community
  • Manage customer service tasks including overseeing appointment schedules for a range of service
  • Are able to multitask and ensure the smooth operations of the service, working collaboratively as a team
  • Highly motivated, task orientated, flexible and agile, with demonstrated ability to work in a face paced, dynamic service where customer service is a key priority

Skills and Experience

Key skills included

  • Demonstrated experience in counter and telephone customer service with excellent people skills and communication skills
  • Strong Customer service focus and understanding of working with a diverse community
  • Experience in office administration within a Health, community service and/or local government environment
  • Excellent computer literacy skills including MS Office including experience with maintaining databases, and collating reports will be advantageous
  • multi-tasking - managing phone calls and data entry simultaneously 
  • Identify business improvements across MCH and Immunisation programs, providing timely feedback to the Team Leaders, Coordinator or Manager Children, Youth and Family Services
  • Curious, collaborative & enthusiastic approach to customer service and community

Requirement of the position

  • Certificate or Diploma in Health Administration or Business Experience in office administration
  • Previous experience working within a high-volume health service, community service and/or local government environment
  • Experience working within an Immunisation service or Maternal Child Health service
  • valid Driver’s license and use of own car
  • Working with children’s check
  • National Criminal History Check
